I have noticed that several of dd's historical dolls have really loose limbs. The dolls are always in their beds of generally stored on stands when they are not being played with. The oldest doll was purchased in October of 2003. I'm curious. Is this common?

How can the limbs be tightened?

Does anyone know what the charge would be if we took them in with us when we go to AGPC for dd's birthday?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Forgot to say, that if you take your doll in to AGP, you can drop her off, but they don't work on her there. She would be mailed back to you in about two weeks from the AG Hospital.

I'll keep all this in mind. Olivia will have to have her legs restrung at one point. She can still stand in the right shoes, but they are loose. She can't kick her soccer ball, poor girl...

You cannot "tighten" the joints as there is no adjustment mechanism for the elastic cord that holds the joint together. Instead, you have to replace the elastic cord. It is a pretty simple and straightforward project. Instructions are at: Restringing Your American Girl ~ An Illustrated Guide. The alternative is to send her in to the AG Doll Hospital, where they will perform the same operation.

I do not believe the AG Doll Hospital has an "outpatient clinic" that does work while you wait.
